About Me

Teacher

Since 2010, I have been teaching a broad range of courses for students from different backgrounds — mathematics, statistics, informatics, engineering, physics — both in Brazil and in France.

Researcher

I am a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). My background is in dispersive partial differential equations, but my current research focuses mainly on dynamical systems and applied statistics. In pure mathematics, I study statistical properties of dynamical systems, including invariant measures, fractal dimensions, and the asymptotic behavior of orbits.

In parallel, I work on statistical modeling of correlated data, with emphasis on multivariate regression models for binary and proportional data. More recently, I have expanded my interests to machine learning and time series forecasting, exploring applications in jurimetrics, health, and environmental data.
